Milan Reveals Hidden Da Vinci Mural Amid Restoration
Milan's cultural officials have opened access to a long-hidden mural by Leonardo da Vinci at Sforza Castle, allowing visitors to view the unfinished artwork during ongoing restoration efforts. The painting, which depicts a pergola covered with intertwined flowering branches, is currently obscured by nearly 20-foot scaffolding in the Sala delle Asse. This initiative coincides with preparations for the 2026 Milan Olympics.

The BBC has signed a significant deal with YouTube to create programming specifically for the platform, aiming to attract younger audiences. Under the agreement, the BBC will expand its channels to 50 and make content available simultaneously on YouTube, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds, with ad-free viewing for UK audiences on YouTube. This move comes as YouTube has surpassed the BBC in audience share in the UK, with 52 million monthly viewers compared to the BBC's 50.9 million.
Serpentine Gallery selects designers for 2026 pavilion
The Serpentine Gallery has selected Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo from LANZA Atelier to design the 2026 summer pavilion, which will feature a serpentine structure inspired by the curved walls of English gardens. This project marks the 25th pavilion and serves as an anniversary tribute to the late architect Zaha Hadid, with the installation set to be unveiled in June 2026 in London.
