Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced that the company is restarting production of H200 AI accelerators for customers in China, following the receipt of necessary American licenses and a surge in orders. At a press conference, Huang stated that Nvidia has been licensed for many customers in China and is in the process of ramping up manufacturing, marking a shift in the company's strategy to reenter the crucial Chinese market.
Mastercard Inc. announced its agreement to acquire BVNK, a stablecoin infrastructure startup, for up to $1.8 billion, including $300 million in contingent payments. This acquisition aims to enhance Mastercard's capabilities in digital assets for international payments, enabling cross-border transfers and remittances across more than 130 countries. BVNK's technology, which processes $30 billion annually and is utilized by firms such as Worldpay and Deel, will complement Mastercard's existing card network.
Meta Platforms Inc. announced that Horizon Worlds, its virtual reality social platform, will be removed from Quest headsets by March 31, 2026, as part of a strategic shift away from its metaverse ambitions. A U.S. District Court judge, Eumi K. Lee, dismissed the breach of contract lawsuit filed by the music streaming app Musi against Apple, ruling that Apple has the right to delist apps 'with or without cause' under the terms of its Developer Program License Agreement. The court found no basis for Musi's claims of bad faith or breach of the implied covenant of good faith, noting that Apple had provided the required notice before removing the app. Additionally, the judge imposed sanctions on Musi's legal team for fabricating facts in their complaint.
