SpaceX has secured an agreement with AI startup Cursor that includes an option to acquire the company for $60 billion later this year or to pay $10 billion for collaborative development. Sullivan & Cromwell Apologizes for Court Filing Errors
Andrew Dietderich, co-head of Global Finance & Restructuring at Sullivan & Cromwell, apologized to Chief Judge Martin Glenn of the Southern District of New York for inaccuracies in a court filing related to the bankruptcy of Prince Global Holdings. The April 18 apology followed the submission of documents containing AI-generated 'hallucinations,' including incorrect case citations and fabricated quotes, which were identified by opposing counsel Boies Schiller Flexner. Dietderich acknowledged that the firm's internal review processes failed to catch these errors and stated that they are evaluating enhancements to their training and review protocols.
Alipay Introduces AI Pay for Autonomous Transactions
Alipay launched a new AI Pay-powered payment service that allows OpenClaw-type AI agents, referred to as 'lobsters' in China, to autonomously make purchases and complete payments based on user instructions. This service, which requires no coding or complex setup, enhances Alipay AI Pay's capabilities, which surpassed 100 million users in February 2026 and processed over 120 million transactions during the week of February 5-11, 2026. The new service is pre-installed on Alibaba Cloud's JVS Claw and rolled out on DTClaw of Ant Group Digital Technologies, featuring multi-layer security safeguards for transactions.
CATL Launches Fast-Charging Shenxing Battery Technology
CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) has unveiled its Shenxing 3rd Generation Battery, capable of charging from 10% to 98% in approximately 6 minutes and 27 seconds, significantly outperforming competitors. The battery features an internal resistance of just 0.25 milliohms, 50% lower than the industry average, and incorporates advanced technologies for improved cold-weather performance, allowing it to charge to 98% in 9 minutes at -30°C. CATL currently holds a 48.3% market share in the power battery sector this year, leading the industry.
