Teen Arrested for Attempted Murder in School Stabbing
A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a double stabbing at Kingsbury High School in Brent, northwest London, where two boys, aged 12 and 13, are in serious condition in hospital. The investigation, led by counter-terrorism officers, has not yet declared the incident a terrorist act, although a weapon believed to be used in the attack has been recovered. Police are continuing to question the suspect, who was detained shortly after the incident occurred around midday.
UK Antisemitism Reports Spike After Manchester Attack
Reports of antisemitism in the UK surged following the deadly attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester last year, with the Community Security Trust (CST) recording 40 incidents on the day of the attack and another 40 the following day, marking the highest daily totals of 2025. The CST noted that over half of these incidents were direct reactions to the attack, including online celebrations and face-to-face taunting of Jewish individuals. In total, the CST documented 3,700 antisemitic incidents in 2025, a 4% increase from 2024, with the year also witnessing the highest number of cases of damage to Jewish property.
