Study reveals sperm microRNAs reflect father's lifestyle

Research led by Xin Yin at Nanjing University has demonstrated that sperm carries microRNAs that reflect a father's lifestyle, influencing traits in their offspring. In a study involving mice, those with exercising fathers exhibited enhanced fitness levels, attributed to increased microRNA levels in their sperm. This finding suggests that paternal experiences can induce epigenetic changes in offspring, challenging the traditional view of heredity as solely reliant on DNA.
