A BBC investigation has revealed that over 500 illegal waste dumps are operating in England, including 11 large 'super sites' managed by organized crime gangs. The Public Accounts Committee has called for a Serious Fraud Office investigation into the UK's home insulation sector following the failure of two government schemes, Eco4 and the Great British Insulation Scheme, which have left over 30,000 homes with significant defects, including health and safety risks.
