Thousands of Ukrainian Civilians Detained in Russia
Thousands of Ukrainian civilians remain imprisoned in Russia, with human rights organizations estimating at least 16,000 non-combatants detained since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion. Many, like Oleh Shevandin, who was abducted in 2015, have been held without formal charges and lack legal representation.
